Experiments with wooden Block prints and Polymer clay

Over the weekend I experimented something new.

I have a whole bunch of wooden block prints that I have lying unused. Well, not totally, because I do use them for making thank you notes. But then the other day, I just thought of introducing a new line of products at my shops online.

So here they are. Polymer clay and block prints.

The lotus flower is the national flower of India and is also one of my favorite flowers.

A big sucker for paisley prints, but of course I had to make one.

What do u think of this bead? I added pewter bead caps and glass stones on this lovely turquoise blue polymer bead. I will be making more of these to get some really beautiful jewelry going.

Here is a another paisley pendant. Added a dash of gold and a bead.

What do you think?

Let me know in the comments below. I am hoping to make more of these and list them up on MY SHOP .

My Pitaara Arm Candy from Aniika

I am in love with this Clutch purse that I bought from Aniika. Made by Bangalore based designers R Nagranee of Pitaara Brand, this cute clutch purse is small. It will hold your iphone, in case you are wondering how big it is. And of course you noticed the Paisley prints dint ya? Well, I bought it because I love the combination of the Saffron and Fuchsia pink and of course the Paisley prints is an added bonus.  You know it helps to be part of newsletter, because you get to see the deals first and get them. Like this purse...its now ALL SOLD OUT.  And I was lucky to get them FIRST.  And well, talking about newsletters, if you do subscribe to Ahkriti Newsletters, then come December 1, 2012 you will receive a coupon code that is exclusively for newsletter subscribers who get 80% off all jewelry designs.

Paisley Print Palette

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well!

I was window shopping on Friday last, when I chanced to see this shop called Cards 'N' Such in Oakville. I am a huge Paisley Pattern  fan and what I saw at this store, simply made me jump with glee. There were so many  paisley items at this store, I ended up buying napkins, gift bags, cards and tissue paper wraps.  Paisley prints are very popular in India and is predominantly used as a block print on fabrics.

Check out these fabulous paisley print creations by artists on etsy.com They are simply WOW!
